Chinnor head coach Jason Bowers praised his side’s defence after they ground out a victory over Redingensians.

Bowers said: “They never looked like they were going to break us down, so I was really pleased by that.

“It was just an industrious victory. They were two good sides scrapping it out and we came out on top.

“I thought that was the hardest contest we have had this season. The intensity from both sides was high.

“The breakdown area was fiercely contested and they looked dangerous when they moved the ball, especially their full back who was outstanding.

“I felt all along our defensive organisation was superb.

“The only disappointing thing was to have three injuries.”
