Harry Sutton ran in four tries as Gosford All Blacks defeated Littlemore 50-15 in the preliminary round at Stratfield Brake.

Fly half Sutton steamed through for his first on three minutes, converted by scrum half Tim Ellis.

Littlemore hit back with a penalty and a try from fly half Lee Gillett.

Ellis set up and converted Sutton’s second, but Littlemore regained the lead when lock Jason Chambers barged over for Gillett to convert.

Sutton completed his treble before the break, Ellis converting for 21-15.

Gosford took control in the second half, with wing Andy Trenier blasting through from 35 metres, Ellis converting.

Wing Murray Stewart’s try made it 33-15 before visiting scrum half Jason Roberts was sin-binned.

Stewart set up the next for replacement hooker Will Gillgrass, Ellis converting.

Replacement wing Pat Siret and Sutton bagged tries seven and eight.

Aaron Wade’s try and Greg Arthy’s penalty could not save Didcot from a 22-8 defeat to Abingdon.

1st round draw: Abingdon v Wheatley, Faringdon v Gosford, Alchester v Bicester, Blue Boar v Harwell.
