City of Oxford continued their improved form on Saturday, ahead of the club’s 80th anniversary gala dinner at the Randolph Hotel that night, by beating Sonning 4-0 in Division 3A of the Women's South Clubs’ League.

Kelly Scott, Ann-Marie Davenport, Rachel Lammey and Christine Fraser got the goals.

Becky Odlin’s hat-trick, and two scores from Kathryn Poulter, helped Oxford Hawks to a 7-2 win at Southampton in Division 1.

With Vicky Martin taking charge, they scored five before the break, with Zoe Salter and Abi Florey, on her first-team debut, adding excellent goals.

Banbury kept up their unbeaten start to the season in Division 3A by beating Hampstead & Westminster 4-0.

Youngster Mel Wilkinson broke the deadlock, Ruth Tuthill slammed home a rebound and Natasha Nunneley scored twice, to take her tally for the season to 11.

Witney hit double figures for the second time this season as they beat Eastcote 2nd 10-0.

Katie Gatt struck from a penalty corner, and this opened the floodgates. Sunny Ricketts scored with a great strike and set up the third for Marie Vincent.

Witney were 6-0 at half-time and they maintained the same hunger.

Joy Mangazi hit a hat-trick, Sadie Lapper scored two, and Lucy Reading and Anna Kirk got one apiece.

In Division 2, Rover Oxford lost 3-0 at home to a strong Teddington side.

In the first half, Rover’s Aynsley Bruce and Mutsa Mutemba created chances, which were not taken.

Teddington followed up a save from a short corner and added a second with an excellent strike from the top of the D, before a third on the break sealed victory.

Wallingford won 4-3 at Amersham – with Kirsty Ross (2), Megan Jones and Jess Bryson scoring – to make it seven wins from seven matches in Premier 1 of the Trysports 3 Counties League.

Bicester beat Witney 2nd 6-0 in Division 1. thanks to Kath James (2), Susie Miller, Charlie Humphreys, Hannah Newell and Lilla Venning.
