Didcot Town boss Stuart Peace has banned any mention of their poor home Zamaretto Southern League record when they host fifth-placed Leamington tonight.

While the Railwaymen have done well on their travels, they have won just one of their six home Premier Division games – against Bedford on August 24 – and lost the other five.

“I know the home record could be better, but I don’t want to say any more about it,” said Peace, whose side drew 1-1 at Chesham United on Saturday.

“In fact, we have banned talking about it in the dressing room. I don’t think there is any massive reason why it is so bad. I just think it’s one of those things.

“The run has got to change.”

Meanwhile, Peace was delighted with their display at seventh-placed Chesham.

He added: “I thought we were unlucky not to win it.

“We were unfortunate to go a goal down in the first place, but in the second half we were the better side.”

Didcot will give a late fitness test to defender Alex Stanley (knee), though Josh Dutton-Black is still sidelined after suffering a leg injury at work.

North Leigh have an injury crisis ahead of their trip to Wimborne Town in Division 1 South & West.

Stuart Huxley, Toby Clark, Ben Reardon, Keiran Sanders, Andy McCabe and Ben Hutter are all out injured, while Joe Burnell and Owen Collins are unavailable due to work commitments.

Andy Helby and Ben Futcher are added to the squad, while boss Mark Gee has signed midfielder/striker Jack Dunmore from Hellenic League side Old Woodstock Town.

Gee said: “We’re down to the bare bones, but we have a very good 11.

“We need a couple of wins to get us up the table.”
