Alice Powell posted a pair of top-ten finishes as the 2010 Michelin Formula Renault UK Winter Championship got under way at Snetterton, in Norfolk.
Qualifying 17th for round one and 15th for round two, the Chipping Norton racer stor-med through the field in both encounters in her Manor Competition car to finish ninth in race one and seventh in race two.
Pembrey in South Wales hosts the Winter Championship finale this weekend, with rounds three, four, five and six to be contested at the 1.5-mile venue.
