Kevin Middleton starred as Section 1 side the Angel (Bicester) bounced back from two heavy defeats to record a 5-4 win over Premier team Bicester Town Football Club.

Graham Manning, Andy Thomas and Andy Douglas gave Bicester Town a 3-0 lead.

But the Angel hit back to level with wins from Jason Cattermole (180), Peter Rouse and Middleton, who was on fire with checkouts of 160 and 110 plus a 180.

A 2-1 pairs win then sealed a fine comeback for the Angel.

Premier leaders Rileys Social Club C kept their unbeaten record intact with a 7-2 home win over the Goodlake Arms.

Stuart Dutton was in fine form with two 180s and outshots of 112 and 102.

Vikings Social Club A’s Section 4 title hopes suffered a setback when they crashed to a 6-3 defeat at home to Masons B.

Father and son Chris and Sean Pollard won their singles for Vikings, before teaming up to take their pairs match, Dave Hopkins hit a 180 in his win as Section 6 leaders Corner House A ran out 7-2 winners at home to Nelson.

In the ladies’ league, Section 1 side East Oxford Conservative Club chalked up their first win over the season with a 6-3 home victory over Premier team Florence Park Community Centre A.

Victoria Lucin and Teresa Bowden were among the singles winners for East Oxford, who also took the pairs 2-1.

Lyn Padbury and Dawn Allsopp replied for Florence Park.

lAMATEUR players in Oxon are being invited to chase prize money of £10,000 in the Harrows UK Doubles Tournament.

Matches will initially take place at Rileys Darts Zone on Between Towns Road, Cowley, between March 14 and May 9.

These will be followed by regional finals on May 21 and the national final on June 18 when there will be a first prize of £2,500 up for grabs.
