Karl Tucker scored a hat-trick as Broughton & North Newington edged to a 5-3 win against Yarnton in which each side had a player sent off.

Tucker’s treble had put Broughton in control of the Oxfordshire Senior League Division 1 encounter, before Mark Harper pulled one back for the visitors.

Ben Coupland cut the deficit in the second half, only for Sam Grant to give Broughton a 4-2 advantage.

Substitute Andy Cullen then wrapped up victory with No 5.

Both teams went down to ten men when Broughton’s Alec Hale and Yarnton’s Adam Browning saw red.

Chris Scott hit the equaliser as Long Crendon drew 1-1 with Watlington.

Ceri Saunders gave Watlington a first-half lead when his corner went straight in, before Scott secured a point.

Garsington had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Kennington in the Premier Division.

But Tyrone Brackett’s looping header from a cross brought the leaders level.

Dier restored Kennington’s lead after the break when he chipped the keeper before tapping the ball into the empty net.

However, Kennington’s hopes of victory were dashed ten minutes from time, when Arron Armstrong slotted past the keeper from close range to salvage a point for the leaders.

A treble from Matthew Spooner saw Oxford University Press to a 3-1 win at Freeland.

John Crump had levelled before OUP hit back to take the victory.
