Oxford United Reserves, leaders of the totesport.com Combination East, were held to a 1-1 draw at Southend United’s Roots Hall on Tuesday.
United had the better of the early exchanges and went ahead on 26 minutes from a corner headed back across goal for Aaron Woodley to tap in from six yards.
Southend levelled ten minutes after the break, George Smith scoring from 20 yards after a quick free-kick.
