Oxford United supporters have just hours remaining to get their 2011-12 season tickets at a discounted rate.

The cheaper price offer ends at 7pm tonight (June 30), after which supporters will pay full price to watch United’s 23 home games this season.

A season ticket ensures a seat for the much-anticipated derby clash with Swindon, and also guarantees entry to away all-ticket games.

The saving on a regular- priced season ticket is £43 for the Oxford Mail Stand, and £48 for the South Stand.

Meanwhile, United have held their 60th annual meeting, where chairman Kelvin Thomas told shareholders that the club is continuing to improve financially.

After player transactions, the club recorded a profit of £403k for the year ending June 2010, against a previous year loss of £825k.

“We have come a long way in the past few years,” Thomas said.

“People again want to be associated with the football club.”
