A 150-run stand between opener Robbie Cooke (91) and Stephen Green (69no) took Horspath 2nd to 222-3 and a seven-wicket home win over Banbury 3rd.

Banbury opener Adam Wirth batted throughout for 103 not out and Adam Jarvis hit 41 in the visitors’ 216-5.

Horspath stay hot on the heels of leaders Cublington, who prevailed by six wickets at home to Cropredy 2nd.

Ralph Orchard’s 50 was the highlight of Cropredy’s 160-8, which also featured 4-30 from Greg Jenkins.

Phil Webb then hit 70 in Cublington’s 163-4.

Tiddington 2nd’s fifth win from six starts keeps them in the promotion picture.

Visitors Didcot were bundled out for 93 as Johnny Clarke produced the remarkable figures of 5-14 from 13 overs. Andy Broughton (33) was one of only three Didcot batsmen to make double figures.

Tiddington then reached 95-3 at the end of the 30th over.

Thame Town 2nd stalwarts Gary Porter (5-49) and Ian McStay (4-53) joined forces to dismiss Brackley for 179.

Keith Cartwright top scored with 63 for the home side, who then restricted Thame to 121-6 as only Alastair Thomas (52) could get going.

Banbury Twenty 2nd are sure to finish in the bottom two after forfeiting their match at Challow & Childrey 2nd.

The struggling club, who won the league in 2000, could not raise two sides.
