JUDY Howard and Noel Blatchford recorded personal best times for the 2,000m walk in the England Athletics Inter-area Track & Field Challenge at Solihull.
The Abingdon Amblers duo, who were competing for Southern Counties Veterans, both came second in their age groups.
Howard clocked 11mins 48.8secs in the ladies vet 35 category, while Blatchford, who is 63, recorded 11.43.6 in the ladies’ vet 50 category.
Fellow Abingdon athlete Duncan Talbot was third in the vet 55 high jump, clearing 1.50m.
