David Baker (-40) returned for his first Gentworks Oxford & District League game in seven years and recorded an amazing win for Fieldside.
Trailing Cowley Conservatives’ Brian Mabbutt (+20), 163-63, Baker knocked in two excellent breaks of 41 to triumph 200-197.
Cowley’s Ken Olive (+80) beat Simon Aries (-70) 200-151, but Mike Chapman (+70) clinched it by defeating Neil Kirby (+70) 150-120.
Division 1 leaders Ashton won 2-1 Littlemore RBL, who head Division 2.
Ashton’s Pete Fenn (+60) won 200-190 in the first game against Matthew Challen (-20) and Callum Vinall (+90) made it 2-0 when he surprised Jason Buck (+50), winning 150-100.
Adam Brown (-20) stopped the rot in the last game, beating Terry Chambers (+20) 200-170.
