BICESTER stayed fourth despite losing 15-13 at Swindon College.

Scrum half Tom Cook put Bicester ahead with a penalty, then fly half Steve Risbridger sent supporting centre Dave Hampton over for a try.

Swindon centre Scott Buchanan replied with a penalty, then full back Stuart Knight’s try made it 10-8.

Cook’s second penalty extended Bicester’s lead, but they had flanker Tony Nightingale sin-binned for handling in the ruck.

No 8 Woody Briggs bagged the equalising try and Buchanan’s conversion left Bicester with just a losing bonus point.

Gosford All Blacks fared better than the scoreline suggested in a 27-0 defeat to leaders Drifters.

Brothers Tim and Harry Sutton combined well at half back, while two late tries sealed a bonus point for the visitors.

Centre Alex Rankin, wings Rob Wills and Rory Hannigan, plus prop Peter Whitby scored for Drifters, with fly half Mark Bannister converting two and adding a penalty.

Littlemore beat Phoenix 12-7, while Chipping Norton won 17-12 at promotion rivals Thatcham to move within a point of the top two.
