BANBURY Bulls ended the year on a high note with their first away win of the season – a 21-10 victory at Silhillians.
Bulls had to defend well early on, but led 6-0 courtesy of two penalties from fly half Mike Smith.
Silhillians hit back with a try, which saw Smith injured.
Banbury captain and scrum half Eddie Phillips charged down a clearance and then kicked the ball over the line to score, converting his own try.
After the break, Phillips turned provider as his long kick allowed wing George Williamson to touch down on the left.
The hosts managed a second try, but Phillips slotted a penalty to seal Banbury’s victory late on.
