GREAT Tew A were on the wrong end of a big hammering in Division 2 of the Banbury Indoor League.
They lost by 92 runs to Byfield, who compiled an imposing 168-2 in their ten overs, with Nigel Cook (36no) and Henry Whitehouse (27no) top-scoring.
Rob Catling made 32 in Tew’s reply, which ended on 76 after 7.4 overs.
Richard Cox took 4-25 to set up Sandford A’s five-wicket victory over Hook Norton.
Cox helped restrict Hooky to 65, Andy Stanley hitting 22, before Jeff Elliot’s 23 saw Sandford ease to 66-1.
