Cowley Conservative Club B won 4-1 at favourites Ashton Club in the Gentworks Oxford & District League’s Stephen Reiss Cup second round.
With one point for a win and two points for the total aggregate score, the match went right to the wire.
Ashton’s Pete Fenn (+60) beat Brian Mabbutt (+50) 200-186 in the opener.
But then Cowley’s Neil Kirby (+70) saw off Shane Chambers (+100) 150-126, before teammate Ross Mabbutt (+100) defeated Callum Vinall (+90), 150-123.
