ALEX Cook won two bronze medals at the Badminton England Under 13 Gold Tournament in Macclesfield.
Cook, from Chinnor, shone in the boys’ singles and mixed doubles events against some of the UK’s top players.
He beat Jack Buckley (Staffordshire) 21-19, 19-21, 21-19 in the last eight before being edged out 24-22, 22-20 by Harry Huang (Bedfordshire).
Cook teamed up with Abigail Holden (Berkshire) in the mixed doubles, where they lost out 12-21, 21-10, 21-13 in the semi-finals to eventual winners Gean Sou Mo (Wales) and Scott Waddell (Scotland).
