Kidlington Old Boys are likely to be without defender Alex Bekele for the rest of the season after he suffered a serious knee injury in their Oxfordshire Senior League Division 1 clash with Riverside.

It happened in the second-minute of stoppage time when Bekele went in for a 50-50 challenge and the game to be abandoned with Riverside 3-2 ahead.

Bekele was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with suspected knee ligament damage.

Mason Horwood, Otis Woodward and Ben Green netted for Riverside, with Chris Wise and Danny Burrows (penalty) replying for Kidlington.

A double from Andy Glossop helped Eynsham to a 4-1 win at Chadlington.

Glossop’s brace saw Eynsham take a 2-0 lead, with Kevin Mulhearn reducing the deficit after the break from 15 yards.
