DAMIAN Dodds ended Crowmarsh Gifford’s double hopes by scoring the winner in a see-sawing North Berks Cup semi-final for Wootton & Dry Sandford, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Wootton made the early running with goals from Dodds and Tom Cooke, but Crowmarsh hit back to lead in the second half thanks to efforts from Will Clements, Sam Whiteley and Andy Allum.

The game then swung back towards Wootton, with George Casserley equalising before Dodds’ second of the afternoon made it 4-3 to book a place in the final.

They will face Division 2 leaders Berinsfield, who made light work of their semi-final by winning 4-0 against Drayton.

David Murphy hit a hat-trick, with Chris Murphy completing the scoring for the defending champions.

Crowmarsh remain on course for the Division 1 title after their nearest rivals, Didcot Casuals, went down 2-0 at Harwell International.

Lee Chapman and an own goal won the game, extending International’s unbeaten run to 14 games.

Zak Gallagher scored the winner in the top flight’s only other game, as Benson won 1-0 at home to Kintbury Rangers.

A Keenan Dundas brace saw Division 2 title chasers Lambourn Sports Res win 2-1 at home to Ardington & Lockinge, while Jonny Eudell replied for the visitors.

Steve Pitson bagged four goals as Sutton Courtenay moved up to third with a 6-0 thumping at Benson Lions, with Sam Childs and Adam Foster also on target.

At the other end of the table Benson AFC Res won 2-1 at Saxton Rovers Res thanks to efforts from Martyn Newbold and Gary Mandizha. Tom Stanley netted for the home side.

Division 3 champions Dorchester signed off with a thrilling 6-5 win at home to Stanford in the Vale.

Rob Hudson struck twice alongside Dan Brind, Joe Dixon and Jack Shipway efforts, while Dan Brearley hit a hat-trick and Jason Evans bagged a brace in vain for Stanford.

Harwell International Res sealed the Division 4 East title in style, winning 7-4 at home to Didcot Casuals A to maintain their 100 per cent record.

Luke Hammond scored a hat-trick and there were doubles for Stuart Smith and Kris Gray.

Marcham Res need just a point to seal the Division 4 West title following a 4-2 win at Stanford in the Vale Res.

Pat Clark struck twice alongside Stuart Armstrong and Craig Dredge efforts, with Kane Harding and Josh Vaughan scoring for the home side.
