BENJI Anderson hit a late winner as Vale of White Horse Under 14s retained the Oxford Times Cup with a 2-1 victory over Mid Oxon in the final at Chipping Norton.
Ben Thomas fired Mid Oxon ahead with a low shot midway through the first half.
But Vale equalised soon after the break with a Harrison Crick header from a Jack Powell corner, and Anderson smashed the ball home for Vale’s winner five minutes from time.
- JORDAN Davies’s goal gave Vale of White Horse Under 15s a 1-0 win over Mid Oxon in the Oxfordshire Cup at Milton United.
He scored from close range in the 20th minute after Tom White headed on Owen Shaw’s free-kick.
Mid Oxon then went down 8-0 to Southampton in the Wright Cup semi-final at Candon Common FC, with the winners now to face Oxford City.
- VALE of White Horse Under 11s ended their season with a 10-0 defeat by County League leaders Gloucester at Longlevens School, Gloucester.
