A young Oxford United reserves side went down 3-1 to Stevenage at Didcot Town on Tuesday night in their final Combination game.
United trailed on the half-hour mark to a Rob Sinclair goal and went 2-0 down when goalkeeper Alan Julian converted a penalty conceded by Dan Bowman.
Dan Carr set up Connor Taylor to pull one back with ten minutes left, only for substitute Jordan Slew to bag Stevenage’s third.
Oxford Utd Res: Crocombe, Bowman, Lynn, Strong (Long), Bouhenna, McHugh, Carr, Marsh, Whitehead, Taylor, Connolly. Subs not used: O’Dowda, Roberts, Ashby, Hackett.
