STEVEN Sheard lifted the Johnson’s Buildbase Oxford & District League’s Men’s Individual title for the third time after beating Dave Tooke in the final, writes PETE EWINS.
Tooke won the first leg 7,310-1,170, but Sheard recovered well to knock up a winning score of 13,690, including a break of 13,320, in the second leg.
That gave him a 14,860-7,430 aggregate victory – enough to clinch the crown.
Sheard also won the player of the year award.
Dolphin’s Mellissa Standbridge won the ladies individual title for the first time after defeating Jenny Florey.
Mark Trafford enjoyed mixed fortunes.
He won the Off The Spot singles with a 8,020-3,630 aggregate victory over Ian Gordon 8,020-3,630 and went to claim the Premier Section individual final with victory over Stuart Florey.
But he was denied a hat-trick when he lost to defending champion Simon Ellam in the Bill Moore Cup.
John Patey was crowned the Pat Webber champion after a 10,780-5,580 victory over Terry Green.
Comrades’ Adam Thorn beat Ernie Smith to claim the Never Won Cup, while Keith Hollis defeated Bob Pincombe to clinch the Kernahan Cup.
