Three former Banbury Twenty stalwarts made all the difference as Banbury 3rd beat Bicester & North Oxford by 36 runs.

John Wright hit 58 in Banbury’s 152-6, then Mickey Thomas (5-34) and Steve Hart (3-30) bowled out Bicester for 116.

Joe Cockcroft took 4-65 as Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd dismissed Kingston Bagpuize for a meagre 114.

Matthew Warner claimed 4-26 for the home side, but Anthony Prior-Wandesforde (32) helped Shipton to 115-4.

Basement boys Witney Mills were outclassed by new leaders Bledlow Ridge.

Will Sterio (30) scored on both sides of the wicket in Mills’s 106 all out, while Paul Brzezicki (6-46) and Mark Dakin (4-42) ran through the card.

Russ Turner then hit 52 not out in Ridge’s 108-4.

Draw specialists Bledlow Village did it again again, but their home match with Cropredy was far from dull.

The visitors made 190-8 thanks to Ed Somerton (63) and Luke Cherry (41), Bledlow replying with 186-8.

Ed Holland (4-27) and Ejaz Ahmed (4-51) joined forces for Chearsley to dismiss Dinton 2nd for 136 and knock their opponents off the top of the table.

Earlier, Chearsley’s 179-7 had included an unbeaten 55 from Paul Atkins.
