Oxenford went back to the top of OCA League Division 1 as they edged out Shrivenham by three wickets on Saturday.

Shrivenham were dismissed for 68 before Oxenford struggled to reach 69-7.

They regained top spot after Garsington’s match at Charlbury was abandoned due to rain.

Garsington had been in a strong position after setting 210-8, Mohammed Sarfraz scoring 85. Charlbury were 83-5 when the heavens opened.

Westbury eased past East Oxford by eight wickets.

East Oxford were shot out for 96, before Tom Boardman scored 75 not out in Westbury’s 97-2.

Chadlington stretched their lead at the top of Division 2 with a 120-run win at Freeland.

Alex Yarnley top-scored with 85 in Chadlington’s 190-5, before he took 3-5 and Steve Hunt 3-21 in Freeland’s 70.

Basement boys Marsh Gibbon surprised promotion hopefuls Oxford Caribbean with a five-wicket win.

Nathan Callow took 4-40 in Caribbean’s 81 all out.

Clifton Hampden made it five wins from five in Division 3 with an 18-run success at Britwell Salome.

Robert England (59) led Clif-ton to 205-8, before four wickets each for Alister Slay (4-38) and Matthew Burton (4-52) dismissed Britwell for 187.

Hailey suffered the ignominy of being shot out for just 30 in a crushing ten-wicket defeat at Chipping Norton.

Jim McGeown’s pace proved too much to handle as he claimed 6-7 from 7.3 overs.

In Division 4, Wantage’s Barry Martin smashed 143 not out to help his side to a two-wicket win at Chesterton.

The home side had rattled up 245-6, thanks to Chris White (66no) and Paul Davies (63no).

Martin’s super ton then led Wantage to 246-8.

Cairns Fudge swere made to work hard for a three-wicket win over Kennington.

Fudge restricted Kennington to 104-9, but lost seven wickets in reaching their target as Duncan Robson claimed 5-35.

Ramesh Chennagiri took 5-29 as Deddington beat Great Horwood 2nd by 13 runs.
