Bowlers continued to call the tune in the lower echelons, making the most of some damp pitches.
Veteran Dick Giles rolled back the years with a 6-40 haul helping Kingston Bagpuize 2nd to an eight-wicket triumph over Brackley 2nd in Division 8.
Two other bowlers also claimed six, Aston Rowant 3rd’s Geraint Hughes taking 6-34 but still finishing on the losing side against Great Brickhill 2nd, who squeezed home by one wicket in Division 6.
In Division 9, Dinton 3rd’s Simon Kempster’s 6-68 helped his side to a one-wicket win over Thame 3rd.
