WESTBURY celebrated their magnificent season by collecting the OCA League Division 1 trophy at the annual presentation evening at Drayton Golf Club.

More than 175 guests were entertained by former Derbyshire and England batsman John Morris, of “Tiger Moth” fame. He also presented the trophies to all the league and cup winners.

Westbury skipper Richard Tredwell received the Division 1 Challenge Bowl, while their 2nd XI also celebrated by picking up the Division 7 trophy.

Shrivenham captain Mark Whale collected the Airey Cup, having defeated Minster Lovell in the final in August.

They also completed a double, with the Tony Pullinger T20 Cup, received by skipper Adam Tucker.

Cairns Fudge collected the Telegraph Cup, while there was also a trophy double for Hanborough on their return to the OCA.

Their first XI captain, Rob Lovick, received the Steve Dixon Cup after their victory over Risinghurst, while 2nd XI skipper Sam Walker picked up the Keith Crump Centenary Cup following their win over Minster Lovell 3rd.

Two new trophies for the young batsman and young bowler of the year went to Risinghurst’s Vishal Moses Lal and Cowley International’s Abdullah Saeed respectively.

Combe’s Robbie Nicholson won the George Panting Young Player of the Year award for a second time.

The league’s batting award went to Kilkenny’s Darren Gordon, who averaged 77, while the bowling prize was won by Risinghurst's Muh-ammed Ishaq Khademi, with 57 wickets at an average of just over eight.

Other prizes saw Great Horwood win the Morris Honey award for most improved ground, while Fringford lifted the Hawthorn Award for Sportsmanship trophy.
