OXFORDSHIRE completed a five-wicket win over Wales MC at Great & Little Tew to go second in the Unicorns Counties Championship Western Division.
The visitors resumed day three at 106-4 in their second innings, a deficit of 32 runs.
And their plight became even more perilous when Chad Keegan had Sean Griffths caught at slip by Lloyd Sabin off the second ball without addition to the score.
Wales had just wiped out Oxon’s lead when Keegan struck again, with Daniel Lewis-Williams being caught behind.
But Oxon then met some stiff resistance from the lower order.
Conner Brown (43), Aneurin Norman (37) and Darren Thomas (41) took Wales to 278 all out as Luke Ryan took 4-61 to eventually polish them off, leaving Oxon with a victory target of 141.
Hugo Darby and Michael Beard set them on the way, before both were bowled in quick succession.
Lloyd Sabin and Jonny Cater then fell cheaply to make it 79-4.
But Will Beer (43) and Richard Kaufman (36no) ensured Oxon got over the line comfortably.
