HARRISON Ward will aim to end a memorable week on a high with Oxfordshire.
The middle-order batsman made his Sussex debut in Thursday’s Vitality T20 Blast defeat to Middlesex at Lord’s, having signed a rookie contract with the county until the end of the competition’s group stage.
Ward, a former student at St Edward’s School in Oxford, made 22 as the visitors lost by 63 runs.
He has the chance to end the week on the right note when Oxfordshire host Bedfordshire on Sunday.
The home side are fourth in NCCA Trophy Group 4 with one match to play, a place above their opponents.
