Kings Arms Wheatley ruled the roost with a 3-1 win at Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League Division 1 opponents AFC Jericho in the Devenney Cup quarter-final, writes TIM SIRET.

The Premier side led 2-0 through Francis Mapplethorpe and Shaun Jacob.

Jericho replied with a trademark free-kick from Kamen Matthews, before Luke Cuff sealed the result with Wheatley’s third.

Kristian Thomas grabbed a hat-trick as OUP Wanderers had a much easier ride into the semi-finals with a 7-2 win at Sutton Revolution.

Tom Payne added a double, and other goals came from Jack Mort and John Hudson.

Chris Shahab and Michael Surfleet replied for the Revolution.

The Division 3A derby went the way of the White Horse Abingdon, who avenged an earlier defeat by leaders Abingdon Exiles with a 4-3 success.

Pat Clark smashed a treble for the Horse, with Ryan Johnson grabbing the other.

John Monnery struck a hat-trick in a losing cause for Exiles.

Paul Salter bagged a brace as Freeland Yeoman stormed to a 6-1 win at Iffley Harriers.

Tom McCudden, a Nathan Blackwell penalty, Jake Halsey and Jamie Perkin made up Freeland’s tally, with Leon Carter replying.

FC Hagbourne kept up the pressure on Division 3B leaders AFC Crowmarsh with a 3-0 home win against Milton Midgets thanks to goals from Luke Mitchell, Adam McMahon and Aaron Scully.
