Oxford City will be without Omar Takriti for at least six weeks after he suffered a broken arm against Didcot Town.

The young defender left the field after just 11 minutes of Tuesday's game and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where the bone was later set.

"It's a bit of a blow to lose him," said player-manager Justin Merritt.

"He's been excellent for us. I thought Gavin Lane did a decent job when he came on."

Striker Ray Spence and defender Jon Steadman return to the squad as City look to extend their unbeaten run in British Gas Business Southern League Division 1 South & West to four matches when they visit Chesham tomorrow.

Didcot Town's Adam Learoyd is set for his first league start of the season at home to Newport IOW.

The youngster, who captains Didcot's under 18 side, came on as replacement when Grant Goodall suffered a calf strain during Tuesday's goalless derby draw with Oxford City.

"I thought he did very well for a young lad," said boss Stuart Peace.

"He's been knocking on the door for some time. I have kept him back and played him in the Berks & Bucks Cup.

"But he'll feature on Saturday and may even start."

Goodall is ruled out, while Dave Green (back) is a doubt.

Peace is still fuming about the decision by the referee not to award his side a penalty after a challenge by City's Lewis Craker on Matty Jack.

He said: "I thought, 'that's a cast-iron penalty,' but the referee said he didn't see anything. I thought that cost us.

"Having said that, I thought we created enough chances to have won the game."

Abingdon United will be without Andy Ballard (suspended) when they travel to Burnham.

Striker Jermaine McSporran faces a late fitness test on a hamstring strain. Sam Zappi and John Mills are added to the squad.

Abingdon are due to hold a committee meeting at the Burnham game to discuss whether to appeal against the league's decision to make them replay their home game against Swindon Supermarine after the floodlights failed in the last minute of the match on November 11.

Abingdon were 3-0 up when the referee abandoned the game.

Banbury United will be without centre back Matty Hayward (suspended) when they travel to Maidenhead United in the Premier Division.

Darren Pond (bruised foot) and Tommy Kinch (dead leg) are doubtful.

Banbury boss Kevin Brock expects a battle at Maidenhead who recently appointed ex-Yeading boss Johnson Hippolyte as their new manager.
