Silverstone circuit said today that race day tickets for next month's Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix are close to selling out.

All but one of the circuit’s grandstands are sold out for the Sunday of the British Grand Prix, while the last general admission tickets for the UK’s premier motor sport event were sold yesterday.

The only race day tickets still available for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix are in Vale Grandstand which, overlooks the F1 paddock, as well as the new pit lane entry into the Silverstone Wing complex. Silverstone said it expected the few remaining tickets in Vale to sell out over the next seven days.

However, individual and family tickets are still available for the Friday and Saturday.

In addition to F1 practice and qualifying, there will be a host of support race action on the Friday and Saturday, including the first GP2 and GP3 races and Qualifying for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

Tickets are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.silverstone.co.uk, or by calling 0844 3728 300.
