MICHAEL Appleton will have a welcome selection headache on the left flank if Joe Skarz is passed fit for Oxford United.
The left back is rated as 50/50 to be available for the visit to Scunthorpe United a week after sustaining concussion.
In his place, Marvin Johnson scored the only goal of the game against Gillingham, while Rob Hall has performed well on the left of midfield.
If Skarz is fit, one of the trio is likely to miss out.
Appleton, United’s head coach, said: “It’s a good position to be in.
“There’s nothing worse than not having options and looking round to your bench and wondering how you’ll change a game.”
United’s only other injury doubt is over centre back Chey Dunkley, who came off on Tuesday night with a tight hamstring.
Sky Bet League One leaders Scunthorpe could be without midfielder Stephen Dawson (ankle), who came off with an ankle injury in the 2-0 midweek victory at Peterborough United.
Scunthorpe Utd: from Daniels, Wiseman, Goode, Wallace, Townsend, Holmes, Bishop, Smallwood, Morris, van Veen, Hopper, Madden, Williams, Dawson, Ness, Mantom, Adelakun, Clarke, Anyon.
Oxford Utd: from Eastwood, Edwards, Nelson, Dunkley, Skarz, MacDonald, Lundstram, Ledson, Johnson, Maguire, Hemmings, Taylor, Hall, T Roberts, Crowley, Ruffels, Raglan, Martin, Buchel.
