SEAN Morris is targeting a contract with First Utility Super League side London Broncos after appearing for them in pre-season.
The triple Oxford rugby union Blue only took up league last season, but now hopes to play the sport professionally.
Wing Morris, who was with Oxford Rugby League in 2013, played in the Broncos’ 16-12 defeat at Catalan Dragons on Saturday.
“It was a really good experience,” said Morris, who is Oxford University’s rugby development officer.
“I’m currently down there on trial until the end of this week, at which point they hope to be in a position to make a decision as to whether they want to sign me or not for the coming season.
“My aim, of course, is to end up with a contract with them.”
OXFORD RL have signed prop Tom Davies from Coventry Bears.
The 24-year-old England Students international impressed at Oxford’s trials and is viewed by head coach Tony Benson as a genuine contender for a starting position.
Davies said: “I am excited about getting to play rugby league in my home county and for it to be in Championship One is brilliant and something I thought would never happen.”
